Making a Battery Clip Breadboard Pluggable

Created on: 9 August 2012

The wire leads of a battery clip can be stripped of insulation at the tips and the wire strands twisted together to make it possible to plug it into an electronic breadboard. It may be difficult to plug the wire into a breadboard as the wire strands may bend or unravel.

In the video below, single stranded wire with a single solid core is soldered to the ends of a battery clip. The solder joint is then insulated using heatshrink tubing. The attached single strand wire makes it easy to plug the battery clip into a breadboard.
