Soldering Wire to a Loudspeaker

Created on: 7 August 2012

This article shows how to solder wires to a small loudspeaker so that it can be easily plugged into an electronic breadboard and used in various breadboard projects.

What You Will Need

Soldering the Wires

The video below shows how to solder the wires to the loudspeaker. First wire with a multi-strand core is soldered to the loudspeaker tabs. The multi-strand wire is more flexible than single strand wire. It is much less likely to break after being bent in normal use. Single strand wire is much easier to plug into a breadboard. The single strand wire is soldered to the end of the multi-strand wire. The solder joint is then covered with heatshrink tubing.
